Flash Gordon remake in the works?

So I just read that a possible Flash Gordon remake is in the works (details here).  I'm a big fan of Flash, especially since he can be considered an ancestor of Star Wars (I'm serious).  However, I will only go see said remake if the use the greatest movie theme song of all time.
