And Knowing Is Half The Battle
Last week, the League of Extraordinary Bloggers got to know Jack, and this week, we’re going to discuss another all-American name…

Yo Joe!

Alright, I know you know the lyrics. Sing it with me.
Yo Joe!
He'll fight for freedom where ever there's trouble.
GI Joe is there.
It's GI Joe against Cobra the enemy
Fighting to save the day.
He never gives up.
He's always there,
Fighting for freedom over land and air
GI Joe- A real American hero
GI Joe is there...
Yeah, I grew up watching, reading and playing with GI Joe. It was the next big thing after Star Wars. In fact they were so much cooler than Star Wars figures because, wait for it, they could bend their arms. Progress!
But this isn't going to a reminiscing post. Everyone has done that. I decided I'm going to share my GI Joe toy photography I've done over the last couple of years. If you follow me on Instagram, I apologize to have subject you to these photos again. If you're not following me on Instagram, why not?!?!? Here, I'll help you out. LasVegasYankee on Instagram.
So, without further ado, my GI Joe Instagram gallery...
I started doing a "What if... Crossover" using Star Wars and GI Joe.
And some creative shots...
And some tragedy has happened, but a happy ending in the end.
And, finally, a Star Wars homage to GI Joe.
According to Branded in the 80s, GI Joe is also a Real French-Canadian Hero.
Michael McDonald and GI Joe in the same article? Didn't think it was possible but Geeky Vixen proves me wrong.
Did not know that Golden Books produced some GI Joe books. Thanks Goodwill Hunting.
Always figured Action Force had some relationship with GI Joe. Thanks to RetroMash*, I now know the story. And remember, knowing is... (C'mon, do I really need to finish it for you.)
And Erik Johnson takes Yo Joe! in a whole different direction. Did not see that coming. Very cool, nonetheless.
